The special feature of this label is that it spends some time finishing in ex-Cognac barrels.

This label goes through the main stage of its maturation in American and Spanish oak barrels, and then it will be put in selected, French oak barrels, made of limousin oak, the same as that used for the barrels in which Cognac matures.

    Glenlivet Triple Cask Distillers Reserve is a malt whiskey that comes to us from Scotland and the Glenlivet distillery. In 1822 it is said that King George IV on an official visit to Scotland asked to drink Glenlivet, leaving the world stunned, as it was then one of the many smuggled spirits in the Speyside area. Of course the owner of Glenlivet, George Smith, did not miss the opportunity to offer him and 2 years later to get permission to distill the whiskey. This label will mature into three types of barrels, American white oak barrels, ex-sherry barrels and new American oak barrels, thus acquiring its special characteristics.

    The Glenlivet 12 Year Old First Fill comes to us from Scotland and the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet. The water from Jossie's Well helps the flavors mix and take on the character of Glenlivet. In 1822 it is said that King George IV on an official visit to Scotland asked to drink Glenlivet, leaving the world stunned, as it was then one of the many smuggled spirits in the Speyside area. Of course the owner of Glenlivet, George Smith, did not miss the opportunity to offer him and 2 years later get the permission to distill the whiskey. Glenlivet 12 Year Old First Fill matures for 12 years in new, American oak barrels, which have not hosted anything else before, thus giving more fragrance to the Glenlivet 12 Year Old First Fill.

This label is dedicated to the founder of the distillery George Smith and was introduced to us in 2014, with the spirits used to create it, having matured in new barrels of American oak.

This particular label was released in 2018 and comes to us without going through the filtration process, after first maturing for 10 years in ex-oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry barrels, acquiring its special characteristics.
