It has matured in two types of barrels, ex-bourbon and sherry, for at least 12 years. It is bottled with 48% alcohol, without going through the filtering process and this special feature gives it extra flavors and aromas, which make it special.

The aromas of Glen Garioch 1797 Founder's Reserve are rich, full of sugar, cereals, mint and cherry notes, which dominate and "extinguish" the strong aroma of alcohol. The taste is quite aggressive with honey, malt and wood dominating, accompanied by strong notes of spices and smoke, leading us to a long and intense aftertaste, in which green apple, tobacco and spices will dominate and occupy for an hour our palate. Try to drink it with a few drops of mineral water, so that it brings out the last note of its aromas.
