Glenfiddich 15 Year Old will mature for at least 15 years in three types of barrels, ex-sherry oak, American ex-bourbon and new oak barrels, then transferred to Solera which is a large handmade oak barrel. Inspired by sherry producers from Spain and Portugal, solera has always been half full and contains whiskey since 1998.

The aromas of Glenfiddich 15 Year Old are fruity. The pear will dominate, accompanied by honey, apple, peach and raisins, with notes of vanilla and spices to make their appearance strong towards the end. The taste will be dominated by vanilla, with pear, peach and raisin accompanying it, while notes of cinnamon and ginger will make their presence strongly felt, leading us to a long and persistent aftertaste, with caramel, wood, raisins and spices to occupy our palate for a while.
