Glengoyne Balbaina Europe Olorosso Sherry Cask is made in one of Scotland's most beautiful distilleries, founded in 1833 and just 12 miles from Glasgow. The story of the distillery begins in 1820, when George Connell began illegally distilling his own whiskey on his farm near Killearn, North Glasgow. From then until today, the same, old distillation method is used for malt whiskeys, thus keeping their traditional character.

The secret of this special malt whiskey, from the Highlands of Scotland, is that it matures carefully, in new, American olorosso sherry barrels, thus acquiring its special characteristics. Aromas of caramel, raisin, biscuit and dried apple will prevail in the smell of Glengoyne Balbaina Europe Olorosso Sherry Cask, with soft notes of spices and sherry to accompany them.

The taste of raisins, biscuits, sherry and dried apples will dominate again, accompanied by notes of cinnamon and herbs, leading us to a long and persistent aftertaste where brown sugar, cereals and spices dominate, keeping our ocean busy for a long time.
