Glenlivet Captain's Reserve 0.7L 40%

Glenlivet Captain's Reserve has a history dating back to 1800 and is considered one of the finest malt whiskeys in its class. In 1822 it is said that King George IV on an official visit to Scotland asked to drink Glenlivet, leaving the world stunned, as it was then one of the many smuggled spirits in the Speyside area. The special feature of this label is that it spends some time finishing in ex-Cognac barrels.

The aromas of Glenlivet Captain's Reserve are sweet and rich, with fruit and honey dominating, accompanied by notes of cinnamon and licorice. The taste of mandarin and pears will prevail, accompanied by strong notes of chocolate, raisins and cereals, leading us to a long and balanced aftertaste where spices and licorice will occupy our palate for quite long.
