Glenrothes 12 Year Old comes to us from Scotland and the Glenrothes distillery, which was founded in 1878 by four partners. Obstacles and changes of ownership followed the company like a curse until 1963, when it began to take over and until 1989 it supplied Cutty Sark and Famous Grouse. The company rose to prominence again in 1999 due to a grant it also received from its people, who had brilliant ideas.

One such idea was the Soleo Collection series, which also includes the Glenrothes 12 Year Old. This label will be created from dried grapes, which were intended to be sherry in the city of Jerez and after the distillate has matured for at least 12 years in ex-sherry barrels.

Aromas of gingerbread, roasted apple and dried fruits are what stand out immediately at Glenrothes 12 Year Old, accompanied by notes of tropical fruits, spices and sherry. The taste of hazelnut, dried fruit and cinnamon will be accompanied by notes of chocolate, dried herbs and fruits, leading us to a long and sweet aftertaste of fruits, with spices starring in the end, occupying our palate for a while, leaving us a spicy feeling.
