Highland Park 12 Year Old comes from the Orkney Islands and the Highland Park Distillery, which was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson. It is the northernmost distillery in the world and one of the few that uses traditional, handmade malting threshing floors to make its spirits. This label will mature for at least 12 years in new European Olorosso Sherry barrels. Highland Park 12 Year Old is the malt whiskey, which Michael Jackson praised, saying that it is the best whiskey in the world of malt whiskeys.

Aromas of lime peel, honey and Seville oranges dominate the smell of Highland Park 12 Year Old, with notes of tobacco and pear accompanying them. In the taste the caramel, the butter, the pear, the green tea, the jasmine and the apple will dominate, with notes of smoke and clove to accompany them, leading us to an aftertaste full of flowers, while towards the end the spices make their appearance towards the end, occupying our palate for a while.
