This label may not indicate years of maturation, but it has undergone a double maturation process, first in ex-bourbon barrels and then in American white oak barrels, thus acquiring their special characteristics. Smoky and peat aromas will dominate the Laphroaig Quarter Cask, accompanied by notes of vanilla and various spices. The main characteristics of Laphroaig, tobacco and peat, will be found in the taste, accompanied again by various spices, vanilla and light notes of fruit. Its aftertaste is balanced and far away, with the smoke dominating there as well at the beginning, giving way to spices, which will occupy our palate for a long time, leaving us with a sweet, warm and at the same time spicy feeling.
