Over Borders is a pure expression of Tempranillo when grown at high altitude. Intense and beautiful aromas, with great purity of fruit, reminiscent of blackcurrants and blackberries. With subtle spicy notes due to the aging of the wine in French and American barrels. Full bodied, juicy and lively on the palate, with fine tannins. Excellent with lamb, grilled meats, pasta, tapas and hard cheeses. It's great now and will only get better over the next 4-5 years!

Peninsula Vinicultores produces a range of mountain wines from high altitude vineyards in the Sierra de Gredos. The aim of the company is to contribute to the preservation of the plots of old vines that still exist in the Sistema Central, creating for them access to the market, thus making them economically viable for the partner winegrowers.

The base is in the Sierra de Gata in the north of Extremadura, near the Portuguese border. The vines are on small terraces on a blue granite hillside. The high altitude offers a very pure expression of Garnacha, subtle but complex.
