The Glenkinchie distillery was founded in 1837 and is one of the few remaining Lowland distilleries in Scotland. It is located near Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, and draws its water from the Lammermuir Hills. Glenrothes Maker's Cut comes from Scotland and the Glenrothes Distillery, which was founded in 1878 by four partners. Obstacles and changes of ownership followed the company like a curse until 1963, when it began to take over and until 1989 it supplied Cutty Sark and Famous Grouse. The company rose to prominence again in 1999 due to a grant it also received from its people, who had brilliant ideas.
