The story of its special emblem began in 1263, when Colin Of Kintail, leader of the Mackenzie Clan, rescued the King of Scotland, Alexander III, by killing a stag that attacked him. As a reward, the king gave the Colin of Kintail the emblem of the stag with 12 horns, an emblem that adorns the bottle to this day.

The Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select is a refined single malt whisky that showcases the art of sherry cask maturation. Matured for an initial period in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, it is then transferred to specially selected Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Jerez, Spain.

This whiskey begins its journey in American white oak casks, developing a solid base of rich vanilla, honey and warm spices. It is then matured in 30-year-old Matusalem sherry casks from Jerez, Spain, which impart complex layers of dark fruit, chocolate and roasted coffee. The result is a whiskey with an extremely smooth and full body.
