Tement

This wine consists of the Morillon grape variety, which is internationally known as Chardonnay. The unique and rare Zierege terroir, produced a rare and unique wine rated 94 by Robert Parker and '96 by James Suckling. Tement Morillon Sudsteiermark Muschelkalk is produced from the Morillon grape variety known internationally as Chardonnay. It is a very balanced and elegant instrument that stands out for its delicate notes of freshly grated apples, dandelion leaves and roasted almonds. It is an intensely clear wine characterized by being dry on the palate.

It is the most signature wine of the winery that wants to express as best as possible the character of the people, the variety and the land of Styria (Steiermark). It is a wine that comes from organic cultivation and manual harvesting and leaves refreshing notes of citrus fruits, local yellow fruits, elder flower and black currant. Tement Sauvignon Blanc Kalk & Kreide Sudsteiermark is minerally and straightforward and will definitely make you crave the next sip!

It is a white dry wine from organic farming, with natural and spontaneous fermentation. It is unpredictable, like an unforgettable evening with strong aromas in the nose and an amazing sequence in the mouth. Orange blossom, clementine, peach and apple are the elements that stand out the most. Light and easy, so much so that it resembles clouds.

Notes of fully ripe citrus, some lychee and black currant make this wine hard and mineral. It's exciting from the very first sip. Citric, salty and endlessly long, attractive when young, irresistible when aged. The vineyard in which it is grown is located at sea level 330 - 490 meters with exposure south to southwest. The "Zieregg" vineyard is heavily influenced by this characteristic subsoil and offers deep and elegant wines with great structure, character and great aging potential.

This vineyard was planted by Josef Tement in the 1950s and has been owned by the family ever since. Notes of lemon, blackcurrant and apricot will give a wine that is delicate and fresh with a soft minerality and a luscious finish. The soil from which it is cultivated is located in a closed mountain basin at an altitude of 300 - 420 m with a south-southeast orientation and is characterized by sandy clay coral limestone soil. Tement Ried Grassnitzberg Sauvignon Blanc is unique especially for cold nights.
