Acheon Sideritis in Amphorae 0.75L

Producer: Acheon
Sideritis is a very late harvest variety with a hard pink skin. The harvest takes place at the end of October - beginning of November, after classic white vinification and fermentation with native yeasts. 70% of the must ferments in a stainless-steel tank and 30% in clay amphorae. The extremely rare variety of Sideritis is cultivated only in the region of Achaia and today it tends to disappear. The wine has quite good acidity, a refreshing taste, with a dominant lemony feel, mineral notes and complex fruity aromas. It accompanies cool salads, spreads such as the Russian salad, seafood, shellfish and dishes from international cuisine.

"ACHAION WINERY" belongs to the Katsikosta family and is based in the beautiful Aigio. Focusing on the promotion and vinification of exclusively indigenous varieties, it has given us excellent labels and at the same time helps the economic development of the wider region. Strictly observing the EU legislation but also the rules of health and safety, "ACHAION WINERY" continues to offer us excellent wines since 1946, when Loukas Katsikostas, with the meager means of the time, began to make wine from local varieties. The Katsikosta brothers, after studying in France, took over the reins of the Achaean winery in 2004 and continue to make excellent labels.
