Bacardi was created by Don Facundo Bacardi Masso in 1862, the first that tried to soften the character of rum by filtering it with carbon, as well as the first to produce white rum. The bat depicted on the bottle is the symbol of Bacardi and comes from the bats that were in the family distillery in Santiago. Bacardi Gold Oro, in Spanish means "Golden Bacardi".

Its color is golden and its aromas are reminiscent of sugar, caramel, butter and wood. Bacardi Gold Oro taste is aromatic and refers to citrus and vanilla, while its finish is intense and has a long aromatic and tasty duration.
