Cardhu is produced in one of Speyside's oldest distilleries, near the River Spey. The distillery was founded by John Cumming and his wife Helen. Helen and Elizabeth Cumming are the two women who are responsible much of Cardhu's current form and those who grew up and made the distillery famous through their activities.

Cardhu could be described as a delicious, classic Speyside whiskey. Aromas of dried peach, raisin and honey, will be wonderfully accompanied by notes of tobacco and spices, thus composing a special aroma.

In its taste we will find again the peaches and some citrus to dominate, while the notes of tobacco, honey and spices that accompany them become even more intense, leading us to a smoky, with a slightly sweet finish, aftertaste. It is probably the most suitable whiskey for those who want to be introduced to the world of malt whiskey.
