Tomintoul 10 Year Old comes to us from the Highlands of Scotland, one of the highest altitude villages, and the Tomintoul Distillery. The Tomintoul distillery was built in 1960 and has been producing high quality whiskey ever since. Another reason that has made the distillery famous, is that it managed to enter the guinness book, creating the largest whiskey bottle in the world, 105.3 liters.

Tomintoul 10 Year Old was introduced to us in 2002, as the first label of the new owners of the distillery, and impressed us with its features, many of which it has acquired since maturing, for at least 10 years, in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Its intense golden color and the amazing aromas of vanilla, walnuts, sage and spices, will pleasantly surprise us, while notes of flowers, citrus and a smoky idea will come to complete the amazing aromatic profile of Tomintoul 10 Year Old.

The taste of baked cereals, vanilla and honey will dominate, with notes of spices and flowers to accompany them harmoniously, leading us to a long aftertaste, where cereals and honey will dominate, while spices will make their appearance later, occupying our palate for a while and leaving us with a sweet and at the same time slightly spicy feeling.
